We are looking for talented supplier quality engineer for lithium-ion battery pack. As part of our quality organization and battery functional teams, the battery SQE will be working on the most advanced battery technology that will be integrated into our various innovative devices. The battery SQE will be a key member working closely with cross-functional teams and world-class supply chain to deliver highest quality product to support our company's vision.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Chemical/Physical/Mechanical/Material Engineering or Science is required.
8+ years of experience in the lithium-ion battery industry, 4+ years of experience working as a quality engineer, or quality manager, or process engineer, or technical program manager.
Proficient in lithium-ion battery pack assembly process, key quality control points and method, dimension measurement, function testing, reliability & ORT testing, typical failure mode and analysis.
Experienced in performing supplier quality audits, determining quality control plans, executing on-site quality management, driving corrective action, collaborating with CM FATP on issue solving.
Experienced in general quality tool utilization, such as QFD, Fishbone, PFMEA, CTQ, CPK, SPC, GR&R, correlation, DOE, etc.
Experienced in equipment/fixture buy-off, line qualification, PDP, and OK2X.
Basic cell knowledge on key electrical and mechanical parameters, manufacturing process, testing and inspection.
Basic PCM knowledge on critical EE components property, SMT process, PCM EE testing.
Good spoken and written English. Ability to communicate and collaborate with international cross-functional teams.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% to APAC locations.
Description(岗位职责)
The supplier quality engineer (SQE) will be working closely with the engineering team to understand product design intent and then be a major part of supplier identification and selection. Be responsible for developing and institutionalizing the supplier qualification process. Evaluate prospective suppliers for process capability based on product and project needs. Continuously improve suppliers’ capability in quality management to meet or surpass engineering requirements.
The SQE is responsible for the overall supplier quality management on battery pack module with a focus on: evaluating supplier readiness, making and executing quality plan covering IQC/IPQC/OQC, collecting data and performing analysis for yield improvement, driving failure analysis and corrective action, driving continuous improvement for the manufacturing process and product quality. The SQE also supports device CM IQC setup for battery tester/fixture, MSOP, correlation study, and IQC standard. Responsible for solving issues in FATP related to battery module
Partner with the battery engineering team on NPI development. Support DFM activities with suppliers on equipment/fixture and process design as well as enhance process capability and resolve technical issues. Responsible for battery inline EE function testing in terms of tester and test logic development. Responsible for developing measurement system and metrology for the new product.
Partner with battery reliability engineering on battery module level reliability plan. Responsible for battery pack ORT plan determination, ORT execution and reporting, ORT failure analysis.
The SQE will be part of the new battery technology introduction. Responsible for new technology risk assessment, PFMEA, new process development, new measurement system development, new testing logic development.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Master’s degree in Electrical/Chemical/Physical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Science is preferred.
Minitab or JMP proficiency is preferred.
Familiarity with GD&T practices, DFMEA and tolerance analysis.
Familiarity with the cell manufacturing process, product validation tests, reliability testing, typical failure mode and analysis methodology.
Familiarity with pack EE solution, SMT process/quality control.
CQE or six sigma green/black belt certificates.
