Summary（岗位介绍）
Reality Labs (formerly Facebook Reality Labs) focuses on delivering Meta’s vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The compute performance and power efficiency requirements of Virtual and Augmented Reality require custom silicon. The Agile Silicon Team at Meta is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in graphics, displays, computer vision, ISP, machine learning, mixed reality, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our chips will enable AR & VR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistors, through architecture, firmware, and algorithms. The successful candidate will be part of a team that includes algorithm, user experience, software, firmware and silicon experts.
We are seeking an intern to develop scripts that parse tool report files that extract relevant data and present that data in a dashboard. This will give the team a sense of the current status and the progress towards goals for the silicon development projects. You will be working as part of a team that develops our graphics rendering engine, but the goal is to develop this tool for use across all our silicon development teams.
Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on coding experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc..
Experience in Digital Design Concepts, such as synchronous and asynchronous circuits and timing analysis.
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description（岗位职责）
Develop scripts to parse tool reports to extract timing, performance, power, and silicon area used to track the development progress of custom-designed chips for Reality Labs products.
Integrate the data collected by those scripts into an existing dashboard system to help management and engineers track our progress towards reaching our goals for those attributes of the chips as they are being developed.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master’s in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in Python programming.
Experience in running and understanding reports from silicon development tools such as linting, clock domain crossing, synthesis, static timing analysis, power analysis, place and route results, etc..
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
