Summary（岗位介绍）
The Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) Platform Display and Optics (D&O) team focuses on moving the state-of-art display and optical technologies forward for Facebook products, which gives people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. The team is responsible for technology development and maturation, component design, manufacturing processes advancement, and test & integration of display and optical module for all FRL products.
The Display Hardware team within D&O is looking for an experienced and self-motivated engineering director to lead and build one of the best display component engineering teams in the world and expand our engineering footprint in APAC. You will be responsible for the investigation, development, qualification, and implementation of leading-edge display component technologies for our growing AR/VR hardware products, including sub-team in Korea. You will lead a close-knit group of display experts working on display component design, validation and system integration, and manage necessary activities to implement the custom and novel component technologies into final products. Your work will change the performance and experience of AR/VR hardware through a close collaboration with both internal and external partners.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years of display scientific or engineering work experience.
10+ years of engineering management experience with proven people management and executive communication skills.
Proven track of record on development and implementation of innovative LCD, AMOLED, or other display solutions for consumer electronics.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Materials Science, Optical Engineering, Physics or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Description（岗位职责）
Lead, mentor, and grow a world class display component engineering team, or a global display module engineering team.
Manage the execution of display and display component design, validation, product implementation and production support activities.
Build relationships and work closely with industry partners to identify and develop new component technologies for our growing hardware product lines.
Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 30% of the time).
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience with at least one of the focus areas of display technology below: 1) Display subsystem electrical, mechanical or optical design including simulation, test and validation. 2) Display driver ICs and interface protocols development 3) Display optical films and subcomponent technology development. 4) Panel and module manufacturing process. 5) Pixel circuit and driving scheme. 6) Display backplane design, simulation and/or processing.
Management experience of structured, multilayered global organization.
Proven track record of building a top performance engineering organization in scale.
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Materials Science, Optical Engineering, Physics or related field and/or equivalent experience.
