Reality Labs is a team at Meta that is responsible for developing and building the next computing platform centered around people. Reality Labs includes everyone working to make this computing platform a reality – including those answering important research questions that bring forward our products of tomorrow and those working on products available today like Meta Quest and Ray-Ban | Meta.
Research Program Managers build and scale global research programs to strengthen the impact of our research teams. We drive efficiency, cultivate relationships, increase knowledge sharing, and build capacity within our organization to enable Researchers to do their most impactful work. As Research Program Manager, Reality Labs, you will define, establish, and maintain global operational and team-wide programs to support the planning, scaling and execution of long-term horizontal research programs focused on product benchmarking. These programs enable Reality Labs user researchers to capture the user experience quality for mixed and augmented reality devices across key tasks. In this role, you will utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills to help our talented team operate at their highest and most effective level.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, able to facilitate our teams' best work by managing short- and long-term projects and initiatives, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to research needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. This role requires project and program management experience and broad knowledge of research's impact on product design and development. Communication skills, stakeholder management, the ability to manage complex logistics, and an organized approach are mandatory.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
4+ years of relevant project/program management experience
Experience executing programs and leading them end-to-end while scaling for growth
Experience building relationships with peers and senior stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations
Experience leveraging data to inform decisions and drive change
Track record of operating independently and taking initiative, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
Experience being successful in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and experience identifying problems and proactively working towards solutions
Communication skills for interacting with and influencing researchers, cross functional stakeholders, senior management, and external partners with the experience adapting communication style to suit different audiences
Description(岗位职责)
Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve team efficiency and impact, establishing operational systems and outcomes
Proactively identify and partner with stakeholders on internal processes, templates, and guidelines to improve team optimization and documentation
Partner with team leadership on establishing effective team communication, information distribution, and cross-team collaboration.
Create, manage, and scale processes to support the growing usage of the competitive benchmarking program across RL UXR teams
Operationalize and coordinate benchmarking requests across the vertical and horizontal RL UXR teams, establishing and enacting prioritization principles for scheduling and intake
Proactively monitor pillar and team specific budget spend within the program to ensure proper prioritization and proportionate resource allocation
Partner with cross-functional teams such as Sourcing, Vendor Engagements and Research Technology to enable program execution and continuity
Manage relationships with the research vendors, including negotiating and monitoring contracts, research planning and resolving operational hurdles
Proactively manage expectations: define clear program roadmaps, provide frequent program updates, identify and communicate risks and adjustments, and ensure commitments are delivered
Provide flexible approaches that meet team needs, including the ability to move fast and make progress or navigate blocks quickly
Serve as a link to the Global Research Ops team, leveraging new processes or best practices when relevant and collaborating on programs specific to the team’s needs
Facilitate relationships between teams, move initiatives forward, find resources, escalate and raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress

Experience working directly with UX researchers, product designers, technical program managers, and/or content strategists
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
Experience managing novel, specialized UX research programs
