Microsoft was awarded a contract by the United States Army to prototype hardware, software, and cloud solutions for the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) program. The program leverages technology from HoloLens to design a heads-up display that pushes the boundaries of mixed reality devices. Our team needs a Senior Service Engineer to keep our technology infrastructure and engineering systems secure and running optimally.

Qualifications（岗位要求）
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency or other protected status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years hands-on experience with Azure or AWS
- 3+ years networking experience (VPN, Wi-Fi, 802.1x, IPv4, IPSec, VLans)
- 2+ years experience with Active Directory or Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Intune
- 2+ years experience working with Network Attached Storage (NAS) and related on-premises and cloud-based storage technologies
- Experience with Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto, or Cisco switching AND routing, firewall, and wireless equipment
- Experience working directly with development on the design, architecture of services and applications used by the engineering system
- Experience with PowerShell coding against Windows and Azure APIs
- Demonstrated communication and cross-group collaboration skills
- Ability to manage several schedule-critical tasks while delivering results and solutions on time
- Passion for leveraging the results of others, continuous improvement, and a drive for timely outcomes
- Industry Certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Network+, Security+, Azure Certified are a plus.
Service Engineering IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Description（岗位职责）
- Work with customers to understand operations requirements and drive solutions to their critical work items.
- Work with Engineering and customer teams to drive operations-centric changes to the way our products are developed and operate.
- Identify and drive improvements within the existing Engineering System, with a focus around greater efficiency and use of existing resources.
- Work closely with customers of the Engineering System and manufacturing facility to understand the work they do in order to provide a high level of support.
- Administer user and authentication components in the Azure cloud-based domain, network, and storage environment.
- Apply and manage security controls on systems per requirements and government mandated regulations
- Identify, evangelize, and deploy new technologies or automation that improves the operations within the supported Engineering System.
- Drive for and ensure issues are responded to and resolved within a standard service level agreement (SLA).
- Promote the use of central core services and facilitate partner owned systems transition to the core services offerings.
- Work closely with the rest of the Operations and Services teams for identifying and escalating problems.
- Communicate progress/status reports to senior management.
