We are seeking a Principal Technical Hardware Program Manager to join the Electrical Engineering team. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Electrical Engineering, you will be an integrated and key member of the EE team, responsible for delivering the electrical components of HoloLens. The scope of this role includes responsibility of configuration management, creating and driving schedules, build management, driving issues to closure, facilitating and reporting on program progress.

Required Qualifications
- 8 years' minimum experience in Program Management with a Hardware development team
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required
- This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Due to contractual limitations and ITAR obligations associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hardware development experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated cross-functional and cross-org experience
- 10+ years of experience in program management within a product development and engineering team
- Familiarity working with Asian, European, and/or other global partners
- Experience with managing multiple delivered-to-market product development cycles in high performance products incorporating cutting edge technologies
- M.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Description(岗位职责)
As a Principal Technical Hardware Program Manager (EE), you will be responsible for the following including but not limited to:
- Generate clarity - Working in lockstep with the electrical engineers, you will extract and synthesize EE issues/bugs/constraints and articulate them clearly to senior management
- Schedule definition & management – Balancing constraints of lead times, design time, supplier availability, etc, you will define schedules and speak candidly about potential risks to execution
- Drive vendors during Failure Analysis (FA) – You will champion evidence-based Failure Analysis when driving vendors, clearly delineating Failure Symptoms from Failure Modes from Root Cause.
- Represent EE in cross-functional meetings – You will provide a poised, clear and collaborative point-of-view when discussing issues/bugs/constraints amid imperfect information
- The candidate must be willing and able to travel (domestic and international) to support design and manufacturing activities.
