We are passionate about using computer vision to map and understand the environment, recognize and track relevant objects, and assist the user in performing the task at hand. We continue to advance the state of the art in computer vision, robotics, AI, human understanding, and deep learning. Everything we do is inspired by an underlying ethos of responsible development for AI systems, which in turn demands an inclusive approach to design that empowers everyone to do more. The Mixed Reality & AI Lab in Zurich is looking for Research Interns in Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robotics, broadly defined. As an intern you will work closely with one or more mentors and have access to the latest hardware and software technology we are developing. An internship at Microsoft will not only help you advance your own career but allow you to contribute to exciting research developments in the field. We are anticipating this will be a virtual internship and the intern must be physically located in Switzerland at the time of their application and during the duration of their internship

Qualifications（岗位要求）
Required Qualifications
University students in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Robotics, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates would have:
- student with at least a year of research experience in one of the following areas:
- SLAM, Structure-from-Motion, camera localization, image features, multi-view stereo, surface reconstruction
- human-robot interaction with Mixed Reality, multimodal robot mapping
- human modelling, tracking, action and video understanding, human motion analysis
- neural rendering and computer graphics
- Algorithmic problem-solving and software development skills (Python, C++, etc.).
- Experience with open-source tools such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, ROS, OpenCV, etc.
- Familiarity with open-source 3D libraries such as COLMAP, Open3D, Theia, Maplab, etc.
- Publication(s) in top-tier conferences or journals in related fields (e.g., CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, IJCV, PAMI, ICRA, IROS, RSS, IJRR, TRO, NeurIPS, ICML, etc.).
- Excellent communication and writing skills.

Interns put their research skills and theory into practice. , you will work on an exciting and open-ended project that aims to push the state of the art forward. You will be expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers by regularly sharing their findings with the group, actively seeking feedback from others, working in a shared codebase, and giving a final presentation. Research internships are available in all areas, and are offered year-round, though they often begin in the summer.
