Summary(岗位介绍)
The Reality Labs (RL) Biosensors Team is developing products for the next generation of augmented and virtual reality. Amongst other focus areas, the group specializes in research and implementation of biosensors with an eye towards driving the state of the art. We are looking for intern candidates with experience in signal processing and machine learning algorithm development with time-domain biosignals to collaborate with our team in pursuit of novel sensing technologies.
Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in the field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related fields
Experience with biosignal processing methods and major toolboxes in Python and/or MATLAB
Experience with statistics and machine learning methods and toolboxes in Python and/or MATLAB
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description(岗位职责)
Develop algorithms to extract useful features from a wide range of biosensors robust to noise
Hardware characterization & analysis
Collaborate in data-driven decision making in sensor design for current and future product portfolio
Collaborate with researchers to design user studies and collect data
Communicate and present results to a wide range of audiences
Draft internal and external research papers and publications
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Intent to return to a degree-program after the completion of the internship.
Proven track record of academic and/or industrial excellence supported with first authored conference and/or journal publications, patents, white papers in related fields.
Familiarity with biosensors for health and wellness and user studies using physical biosensors based on sensing principles such as optical, biopotential, thermal, and acoustics.
Hands-on experience with photoplethysmography (PPG), electromyography (EMG), electrocardiography (ECG), inertial measurement unit (IMU) time and frequency domain analyses.
Experience with rapid prototyping, data acquisition hardware, and signal processing chains.
Familiarity with biostatistics and machine learning for qualification of multimodal data.
