Meta Reality Labs focuses on delivering Meta’s vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The RL team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, speech, virtual assistant, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body among many others.
The On-Device AI Research team in RL brings together a world class team of researchers working on a range of problems in 3D Reconstruction, Image/Video processing and Real-time Graphics using Deep Learning. Our work is at the core of enabling future AR and VR products.
We are seeking exceptional interns with a background in 3D Computer Vision to join our team.
We are specifically looking for candidates to work in areas such as 3D Face Reconstruction, Neural View Synthesis, Image Processing and Computational Photography.
In this position, you will get exposure to the full stack, from algorithms down to how these algorithms map to the target device. You will work with the research mentors to understand the challenges and build state-of-the-art networks to tackle them and then work with the software/hardware team to deploy these solutions on-device.
Our internships are twelve (12) – twenty four (24) weeks long and have various start dates throughout the year.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related field
2+ years of research experience or equivalent graduate research experience in geometric computer vision including 3D deep learning, 3D Face Reconstruction, Video Restoration, Computational Photography, Neural View Synthesis, etc.
Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
Research and develop novel Deep Learning based methods in the area of 3D Face Reconstruction
Research and develop novel Deep Learning based methods in the area of Image Processing, Neural View Synthesis and Real Time Graphics
Present the outcomes of the research findings as papers in top tier conferences in the area of CV and Graphics
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
Proven track record in publishing papers in machine learning and/or computer vision conferences including CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, ISMAR, ECCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, ICLR, TVCG, SIGGRAPH
