Meta AR/VR Job | Visiting Researcher, Hardware Research (PhD)
Job(岗位): Visiting Researcher, Hardware Research (PhD)
Type(岗位类型): Hardware | Research
Citys(岗位城市): Redmond, WA
Date(发布日期): 2022-3-31
Summary(岗位介绍)
Reality Labs brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of virtual and augmented reality, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today. Just as personal computers have done over the past 45 years, AR and VR will ultimately change everything about how we work, play, and connect. We are developing all the technologies needed to enable breakthrough AR glasses and VR headsets, including optics and displays, computer vision, audio, graphics, brain-computer interface, haptic interaction, eye/hand/face/body tracking, perception science, and true telepresence. Some of those will advance much faster than others, but they all need to happen to enable AR and VR that are so compelling that they become an integral part of our lives.
Reality Labs Research is looking for a skilled and motivated Visiting Researcher with experience in computational modeling and design optimization to help us invent technologies for enhanced user experiences in digital worlds.
As a Visiting Researcher, you will model, design, and test novel hardware systems for sensing and actuation, improving our understanding of the response characteristics and control techniques for IO applications in ARVR. You will work with world-leading collaborators to improve our understanding of energy transfer through materials and structures, and to optimize designs in wearable spaces to pave the way to the next generation of virtual and augmented reality technologies.
