At Facebook Reality Labs (FRL), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. We are currently seeking an Advanced Materials Researcher with expertise in nanopatterning materials or inkjet technology and a passion for technology and innovation to join our team, whose mission is to deliver state-of-the-art materials for future hardware products for Meta at our research and development. The position is full-time, requiring a PhD in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials engineering or similar degree. Candidates must have experience developing inkjet or nanopatterning materials and processes for photolithography, nanoimprint, and other cutting edge patterning techniques used in advanced semiconductor and optical devices fabrication. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic, agile, cross-functional team and exhibit excellent communication skills.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical and Materials Science and Engineering, or a similar field
3+ years of experience in inkjet-based or Nano-patterning materials development for semiconductor or display manufacturing
3+ years of experience with characterization of materials and thin films using techniques like ellipsometer, profilometer, AFM, SEM, DSC, TGA, DMA, UV-Vis, GPC, etc.
1+ year experience in thin film coating and patterning process
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Description(岗位职责)
Lead the efforts to develop new inkjet or nanopatterning material and process packages for near-eye optical components fabrication
Translate Optic Design requirements into appropriate coating technique, material, equipment and process parameters
Work closely with the research and engineering staff to design and execute design of experiments
Build collaborative relationships both internally and externally to support research initiatives
Act as the Research Staff tool owner for internal work. Manage external collaborations and development activity towards project deliverables
Hands-on knowledge and experience on materials for nanoimprint, including resist, working stamp, and high index materials
Hands-on knowledge and experience on photolithography resist chemistries and formulation, including sublayer coating, and ancillary materials
Hands-on experience on inkjet chemistry, equipment and process parameters
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
3+ years of experience in an industrial Research and Development environment developing scalable materials and processes
Demonstrated experience working within a team or lead a team towards inkjet materials development
Demonstrated experience working within a team towards nanopatterning materials innovation
Experience leveraging to leverage industrial contacts to deliver a total material and process solution
Demonstrated experience identifying and grow partnerships and to manage sophisticated external engagements
2+ years of experience in delivering additive manufacturing solutions using inkjet technology
Experience with organic and inorganic optical materials development and formulations
Experience in developing materials for consumer electronics
Experience in building thin films stacks especially for optical applications
Experience designing and building custom experimental and analytical setups for materials testing and demos
