Come and develop, drive, and deliver new products in the world of AR/VR! We’re looking for individuals that want to be on the ground floor of breakthrough technologies and help build a world class sourcing team. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager Intern, you will be responsible for developing the key strategic relationships with critical electro-mechanical suppliers including exploration of new or advanced technologies, part costing, and supply chain management. This role is dependent on close collaboration with Hardware Engineering, Program Management, Technical Operations, and other cross-functional teams. During the product development process, you are responsible for ensuring the suppliers are prepared to support the delivery of key parts on-time at specified quality, and yield parameters and are prepared to meet the ramp quantities. It is the SSM’s primary objective to ensure suppliers meet or exceed commercial and technical requirements throughout the life-cycle of the product(s).
Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long, and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, an MBA degree
1+ years of experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should cost models, contract negotiation and supply base management
Demonstrated leadership, program management, and cross-functional teamwork experience
1+ years of experience communicating with and influencing all levels of management
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description（岗位职责）
Diving deep into supply chain analysis for supply mapping and quantifying supplier evaluation scorecard
Interact with highly efficient sourcing managers and cross functional technology development team to think broadly about solutions to the most complex operational challenges
Identify risks and come up with a mitigation plan. Identify and communicate and/or escalate to Facebook execs any potential findings that may impact product strategy
Develop strong understanding of sourcing terms, the trades-off between cost, volume, quality and long term supply sustainability
Understand the industry/commodity landscape to gauge industry trends and use these trends to our advantage
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
Advanced engineering degree and/or MBA
Experience with high volume, consumer electronics products
Experience in a start-up environment
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Results-driver and desire to innovate and simplify current process and practices
Experience in negotiating in dynamic and rigorous environment
Passionate about Technology and operations
