We are seeking Engineering Managers for our Embedded and Operating System Teams. The ideal candidate has proven design and build skills, passion for low level-systems software, and hands on experience with working on Operating systems at the lower layers.
With this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of several core – components of the device foundation, which will have a huge impact on Facebook’s VR/AR products in the next few years, and the Meta verse we are building up. In addition, the team is expected to grow with additional responsibilities and technology ownership in the broader XROS organization.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
8+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management in one or more of the following areas: embedded systems, device system level engineering, power and thermal management, or silicon integration for mobile/embedded systems.
2+ years of experience developing, coaching and managing engineers.
BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years software engineering work experience in C/C++).
Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
Description（岗位职责）
Be both highly technical and an effective people manager.
Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area.
Work with your team and cross-functional partners to define and influence strategy, roadmap, and lead execution.
Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level.
Participate in technical design.
Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals.
Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Linux/Windows and/or Android/AOSP system level engineering.
Experience with System-on-Chip (SoC) integration, Broad Support Package (BSP) development and optimization, Linux kernel driver development, AOSP driver, HAL, and native service development, power management and tools on Linux and Android.
Experience with AOSP engineering environment, tools, power management tools and KPIs from a device manufacturer standpoint.
