The Reality Labs Product Operations team is looking for a Strategy & Operations (S&O) Lead to support strategic projects, planning, and operations for the Product Operations organization. This role will have the opportunity to work across the entire RL product portfolio.
The ideal candidate has experience in business strategy, strategic and operational planning, executive level communication and stakeholder management. They are a data-driven self-starter and problem solver who thrives in, and enjoys a fast-paced, cross-functional, and impact-oriented environment and are able to focus on outcomes over activity. This individual values diverse perspectives, is not hesitant to share their own, and enjoys both engaging in strategic discussions and operationalizing ideas and plans. Experience with go-to-market strategy is a plus. Given the rapid growth and pioneering work of RL, this individual should also have an appetite for an evolving organization and thus evolving opportunity to drive strategic work and operational enhancements.
BA/BS degree or equivalent
8+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy/business strategy/strategy & operations/business operations, planning, venture capital or private equity, operations at a growth stage company, or equivalent
2+ years of people management experience
Experience with consumer brands
Experience with project management
Effective communication skills – (e.g., cross-functional meetings, compelling presentations, clear prose)
Experience working with leadership and driving cross-functional initiatives forward
Identify and lead strategic initiatives with FRL Product Operations leaders to advance the impact of our go-to-market activities, optimize operations, and scale the organization during a period of growth.
Drive annual and half-year planning for your partner organization and leader, including: facilitating goal setting and prioritization, integrating learnings to date and best practices, participating in Product Operations-wide headcount planning and budget allocation, etc.
Enable progress on priority workstreams for the organization ( e.g., advise on scope, strategy, approach, deliverables, timing, etc.).
Oversee day-to-day operational needs, which may include budgeting and forecasting, advising on go-to-market strategies and execution, facilitating leadership meetings, etc.
Build a deep understanding of our existing FRL businesses using internal and external data.
Strategically evaluate new business opportunities for FRL and how they fit in the FRL product portfolio.
Work with cross-functional partners (product, data science, engineering, user research) to surface opportunities and threats, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product recommendations.
MBA or other relevant advanced degree
Experience as Chief of Staff or primary business/Strategy & Operations partner for a leader
Experience at the growth (scaling) stage of a company
