The Microsoft Applied Sciences Group incubates disruptive technologies for Microsoft’s next-gen hardware products and is working on several exciting projects that will shape how computers and other devices perceive the user and the user’s environment. Operating as a startup within the company, this team works closely with several research and product teams to bring compelling new experiences to the market. A lot of these experiences will be powered by advances in machine learning – and as part of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with researchers and scientists in this space to help on the data collection and ingestion pipelines.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Proven track record (industry) of deploying data collection devices and engineering ingestion pipelines for machine learning
Familiarity with research card camera systems and other input sensors like microphones and radars
Excellent communication and presentation skills, problem-solving aptitude, and desire to automate.
Ability to troubleshoot data acquisition problems in the field
Data Science or another quantitative field is preferred.

Description（岗位职责）
We are looking for a Lab Technician to closely collaborate with researchers in our group, to drive and streamline adoption of novel DNN solutions into mainline products. Your primary responsibilities will be around supporting various data scientists and engineers in tasks such as, but not limited to, data collection, quality analysis, evaluation, setting up and validating collection pipelines. We expect you to have 3+ years of industry experience in data collection and ingestion pipelines and familiarity with building and deploying complex data collection rigs with multiple camera and microphone arrays. Experience in research and product facing environments is a plus, and candidates with background in image quality analysis, setting up image and audio capture rigs will be preferred.
