As Display Manufacturing Design Engineer in the AR/VR organization you will be a responsible on critical part of optics/display components and module process development and manufacturing at Tier2-3 vendors. You will collaborate across multiple projects with optics/display engineers, product designers to enable novel AR/VR experiences. You will also work with vendors to develop processes and capabilities to deliver high performance products in scalability volume and robust quality.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS degree in Display Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong technical hands-on LCD/OLED display/touch module process.
Able to work with less supervision, driving hard decision making
7+ years of experience in display/touch module design/manufacturing, quality and assembly.
Experience with high-volume consumer electronics manufacturing, partnering with Asia-based suppliers and contract manufacturers.
Experience communicating and working with cross-functional groups (both verbal and written in English)
Experience or working knowledge of:
Display/Touch technology development for consumer electronics
Advanced materials and thin film coating development on LCD/OLED display modules
Materials analysis including SEM, TEM, EDS, etc.
Design of experiment (DOE), statistical data analysis and JMP software
Cleaning room control knowledge
Description（岗位职责）
Drive manufacturing process innovation in Display solutions for AR/VR products.
Work with Engineering Team and commercial Team to identify the best supplier/partner (SPOR) to meet product requirements from both technical perspective as well as supply chain and manufacturing considerations
Ownership at vendors component and Display process and manufacturing support, i.e. display front end manufacturing, display/touch module process including bonding, lamination etc, CG process etc. good understanding of tolerance stack up analysis
Work with internal cross-functional teams, contract manufacturer display integrators and component suppliers on process fixture DFM, process bring up and qualifications. You are also responsible for display module sub-assembly from NPI to Ramp.
Work with vendors to develop MP intend equipment, process and materials
Work with internal Quality Team to define quality characterization, inspection methodology, and qualification of components (cover glass, LCD/OLED module process qualifications, etc.) before components ship to FATP (Final Assembly, Testing and packaging).
Work with product design, quality and Reliability Team to debug display/mechanical issues during Display module development from NPI to Ramp. Identify root cause and provide improvements via process optimization and qualifications.
Travelling 30-50% to Tier 2 vendors for support
