From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs and beyond, XR Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realising the human value and new experiences they open up.
This Engineering Manager role is part of the Zurich DNA Team, focused on managing shared device resources such as sensor data, memory or compute. We are looking for a hands-on generalist EM for the team’s sensor data workstream to empower feature development for FRL products through sensor data frameworks and tooling. No prior experience developing AR/VR products or specialized expertise is required.
The workstream currently has a medium sized team of experienced engineers with scope to grow. The focus is on developing frameworks, tools and abstraction layers that empower AR/VR feature developers to leverage sensor data across a broad spectrum of HW products and platforms.
Our scope is growing as the number of FRL products continues to increase, and will require centralized solutions that empower the organization to move fast and drive innovation. Example initiatives include camera exposure control (will enable hand tracking, Mixed Reality and other XR features on future FRL devices), sensor emulation, sensor validation etc.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years experience developing, debugging and shipping C or C++ based system software products.
Significant experience managing software development teams.
Experience with software development tools and processes such as source control, bug tracking, design documentation, Agile methodology etc.
Description（岗位职责）
Build a high performance team working on developing and productizing on-device sensor data management for FRL products.
Hire, onboard and retain exceptional engineering talent, support career advancements and skill development.
Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on individual accountability and teamwork.
Set ambitious yet attainable goals, and motivate the team to achieve them.
Drive efficient and effective cross functional collaboration with the broader teams.
Plan and coordinate major initiatives such as phased releases of the team’s software that align with product roadmaps and organizational priorities.
Influence the engineering culture of the team and advocate for higher product quality and engineering efficiency.
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a large organization.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience in technically leading and/or managing teams developing operating systems (e.g. Android) or system software on edge devices (phones, wearables, etc.).
Experience in technically leading and/or managing teams developing software to support real time computer vision or machine learning, or sensor data processing.
Track record of successfully managing teams through various phases of a project
