The FRL Technology Engineering Team has the responsibility for taking breakthroughs in core technology and delivering them to market at scale. The Technology Engineering Camera Team seeks a Camera System Engineer who has extended experience of leading high-performance camera hardware development from concept to production volume ramp in consumer electronics. This is a full-time position based in China.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS/MS in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Imaging Science, Physics or related fields
More than 3 years’ hands on experience in camera hardware development over the full product life cycle from product definition to NPI and ramp.
In-depth knowledge of camera module design principles and best practices with good understanding of image quality fundamentals and their system drivers.
Good knowledge of camera module manufacturing/assembly process.
Good data analysis skill with JMP, Matlab or other analysis software.
Description（岗位职责）
Lead manufacturing partners on camera hardware design evaluation, prototyping, qualification and production bring up.
Define engineering requirement specification for design, test and manufacturing of camera modules, optics and other camera components.
Failure analysis and debugging of camera hardware at both module and product level.
Interact with cross-functional engineering teams (Product design, Industrial design, Electrical Engineering) for camera hardware development and system integration.
Lead camera sub-system validation and testing (including image quality, electrical and mechanical testing) at manufacturing sites.
Around 30% time travel to suppliers is required.

Detailed understanding of overall systems interactions in the image pipeline.
Working knowledge across the following areas with detailed experience in at least one: Advanced camera module manufacturing process development.Standard imaging interfaces and protocols in the typical consumer platform.Compact Lens Optics design & testing.Camera module mechanical design and tolerance analysis.Camera module electronic circuit design and signal integrity & power integrity analysis.Image sensor characterization and design. Image quality evaluation methodology (test algorithm, chart, lab setup).
Android camera HAL knowledge is a plus.
Deep curiosity for science and technology.
Experience in startups and large companies across diverse industries is a plus.
