Reality Labs Research is looking for interns to drive the next generation of hand pose estimation and tracking. In particular we are seeking interns with experience in sensor fusion and tracking to help us improve interactions with hand-worn devices. You will explore interactions and implement algorithms which utilize multi-sensor streams to track the states of the user and device. You will work with world-leading collaborators and mentors in the AR/VR & HCI fields.
Our internship is twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in robotics, engineering, computer science, or related fields.
Excellent research skills involving defining problems, exploring solutions, and analyzing and presenting results.
Proficient in tracking and machine learning (generative models, temporal architectures, etc.)
Proficiency in C++, Matlab, or Python.
Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Description（岗位职责）
Plan and execute cutting-edge research to advance AR/VR interaction technologies in the areas of sensor fusion, motion-prediction, and surface typing.
Collaborate with other researchers, engineers, and user experience researchers to prototype hardware and software solutions, and run experiments to advance the project.
Work with leading academic researchers in the field. The work should result in publishable research that appears in top-tier journals or at leading international conferences.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Published a relevant paper in top conference venues such as CVPR, ICCV, BMV, 3DV, SIGGRAPH, ICRA, IROS, RSS.
Experience with sensor fusion and its application to real-time sensing problems.
Experience with hand tracking or human body tracking.
Experience with motion capture systems.
Experience designing and performing data collections.
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.
