Summary（岗位介绍）
Come join a rapidly growing team as an Optical Designer Engineer in Facebook Reality Labs. You will be responsible for productizing an optical display system that is core to delivering transformative experiences in Oculus AR/VR products. You will join an agile team that is laser-focused on releasing product display-systems that are fully hardened for high-volume manufacturing (HVM). We are seeking an engineer experienced with early technology paths; able to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to manage optical system requirements, design and maturation and focused on execution while providing clear and effective communication to remove barriers across teams.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in developing optical systems with multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience in Design for manufacturability (DfM) with proven track record of high-volume production.
Experience in opto-mechanical integration and system design.
Experience in physical optics lens design CAD tools such as Zemax or Code V.
Experience working in a lab environment for display or optical systems.
Experience with hands-on first article inspections (FAI), assembly and testing of optical components and optical systems.
Description（岗位职责）
Design optical display engines and components for next generation AR and VR experience.
Establish and document optical engineering specifications, including key performance metrics and test requirements for optical system and components.
Perform sensitivity and tolerance analysis aligned with industry supply chain and assembly partners capabilities.
Contribute to future optics technology roadmap and scope out New Technology Introduction (NTI).
Collaborate with internal cross functional teams and external industry partners to develop and mature state-of-the-art technologies (e.g. material, process, metrology, and design) to extend the horizon of AR/VR experience.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in the field of Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related degree.
10+ years of experience in research or advanced optics development.
Experience in non-sequential ray modeling tools such as FRED or LightTools.
Experience with design/manufacturing of small form-factor imaging systems.
Experience developing manufacturing process(es) for coatings, molding, & replication.
Rapid prototyping experience (i.e. 3D printing, laser cutting, diamond-turning etc.).
Experience with multiple full life cycle product launches.
