The FRL Graphics Research team is working on pushing the boundaries of computer graphics in a diverse ecosystem involving both low-power graphics devices running at the user, and higher-power graphics machines at the edge or in the cloud. We are currently seeking a talented Graphics Engineer to help develop forward looking graphics pipelines for AR/VR and solve the next generation of challenges in the visual computing space. The focus of this role is on computer graphics with the primary responsibility being acceleration of graphics and rendering research, and a successful candidate should leverage their experience to write low-overhead code for research graphics systems. This position requires experience with graphics programming in C++.


Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Currently has, or in the process of obtaining, a PhD in computer science, computer engineering, math, physics, or related field.

Understanding of general 3D graphics knowledge and rendering algorithms.

Low-level systems programming experience.

3+ years of C++ experience.

Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.


Accelerate development of one or more graphics-related research projects.

Contribute to demos relevant to Meta’s mission.

Additional Requirements(额外要求)

Expertise in working with 3D geometry like polygons, curves, subdivision surfaces, and displacement.

Understanding of the rasterization pipeline.

Photorealistic rendering experience including ray tracing-based algorithms.

Unity, Unreal Engine, or other game engine experience.
