The Mixed Reality Core OS Software team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Software Engineer II- Platform Software with experience in camera driver & platform development, Windows/Android/Linux OS frameworks SW design & implementation. We are the team that develops the foundational software that breathes life into our Mixed Reality hardware, enabling our AI, Runtimes, and Experience teams to collectively create delightful and engaging user experiences.

Qualifications(岗位要求)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of software design and/or development experience.
- Experience working with Android or Linux or Windows system level frameworks and internals.
- Experience working with embedded systems.
Other Requirements
Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations.As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Preferred Qualifications:
- Writing performance critical code in C/C++.
- Technical problem-solving skills.
- Design, coding, and debugging skills.
- Written and verbal communications skills.
- Windows or Linux device SW driver development
- Hardware bring-up and Manufacturing
- BSP and OS image creation
- Experience using Java, C#, or Kotlin
- Familiarity with CI/Automation frameworks.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

- Design and implement system level APIs and frameworks to enable application use cases for Mixed Reality products.
- Design software to control camera ISPs and sensors.
- Help define the next generation of Mixed Reality products.
- Work in close partnership with a team of cross discipline peers including design, hardware, PM, and Quality Engineering for sustained long term success of Mixed Reality products.
