The Mixed Reality team in Microsoft’s Cloud + AI division works to deliver transformative Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) products and solutions that enable dramatic competitive advantage for our customers in driving their Digital Transformation across a range of high value scenarios.
The team delivers industry defining products like HoloLens, Altspace, Azure Mixed Reality services and much more!
This role is for a strategy PM who can deliver strategic insights and develop them into business strategies. This is a high impact role that will drive future strategy development and work actively to shape the investment profile of our investments across the product portfolio. You will work closely with the extended team across engineering, program management, marketing, sales, business development, and finance to understand competitive market dynamics, identify key emerging trends, and propose innovative ideas to maximize the ROI of our investments.
This is a role that operates from the Mixed Reality Strategy & Operations team and on behalf of the MR business across Microsoft with the goal of connecting strategy to investment decisions and execution. Qualifications（岗位要求）
Qualifications include:
- 5 years of experience in technology strategy in top tier tech company, finance in top tier tech company, or management consulting/investment banking
- 3 years of demonstrated experience in developing relationships, becoming a trusted advisor, and influencing at a partner level
- BS/BA Required, MBA strongly preferred in a marketing, business, finance or technology-related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business and strategy development experience. Ability to translate strategy into actionable business plans.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technology, cloud computing, hardware development and platform business models
- Understanding of Mixed Reality Business trends
- Understanding of industry business metrics, financial analytics and proficiency with financial calculations
- Strong leadership and excellent collaboration skills with a strong ability to create clarity and lead through influence
- Attention to detail, self-discipline and self-motivation
- Partnership orientation to getting work done, coupled with problem solving, judgment, decision making and strategic capabilities
- Be a mentor and contribute to best practices for strategic and product planning for the organization
- Utilize customer, market, and competitive intelligence to create useable research insights that support portfolio & experience decisions
- Recommend Objectives and Key Results measures for products in the portfolio, and monitor/learn/adapt strategy from in-market results
- Hunger and comfort in a fast-paced startup environment, able to learn and quickly adapt to customer needs
- An analytical mindset, bringing and adapting proven frameworks and processes
- Domain knowledge of Mixed Reality highly desired

- Work on Mixed Reality strategy topics and help investigate strategic opportunities
- Model business opportunity for new initiatives present to the executive team to enable decision making
- Conduct Industry Market Research & bring competitive insights to strategy topics
- Work with stakeholders to align product plans to business strategy
- Develop strong relationships, embracing cross-boundary collaboration to influence peers and senior executives across the company. Represent Mixed Reality in cross-company business planning forums
- Bring together stakeholder inputs to summarize overall category performance, Mixed Reality business performance relative to category and provide point of view on short-term and long-term business performance goals. Bring point of view and recommendations to business planning processes
