As a member of the highly skilled and diverse engineering team, you will contribute to the end-to-end development of viewing optics hardware for Meta's Mixed Reality (MR) products. In this role, you will work collaboratively to address unique technical challenges related to optical materials and manufacturing processes. Your efforts will be focused on achieving performance, quality, and affordability targets for MR hardware that our customers will be delighted to use on a daily basis.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, Optical Science, Optical Engineering, Physics, or relevant technical field
10+ years experience in following areas of research: non-linear static and dynamic Finite Element Analysis, structural and thermal-structural modeling
Experience in using Abaqus, Ansys, COSMOL, or equivalent CAE packages
Description(岗位职责)
Establish finite element models/analytical models of optical component, subassembly and module assembly of VR optical system
Own and drive failure analysis, design of experiments, material characterization to support modeling results
Provide directions of design changes and corrective actions to the team to meet product performance requirements
Communicate and report analysis results to cross-functional teams
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, Optical Science, Optical Engineering, Physics, or relevant technical field
5+ years experience in following areas of research: non-linear static and dynamic Finite Element Analysis, structural and thermal-structural modeling
Experience in calibration, verification, and validation of FEA models through material characterization and DOEs
Experience in working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment
A proven track record of full product development cycle
