Summary（岗位介绍）
The VR HW Validation Team is responsible for developing and deploying validation capabilities that inform product decisions and drive design maturity for Meta’s VR portfolio. As a System Design Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for validating system performance & power across multiple subsystems such as battery, SoC, memory, display, RF, sensors, etc. Scope of responsibilities include test definition, automation, data collection, data analysis and reporting of test progress and open issues.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can navigate through the development of test architecture all the way through detailed execution and analysis. They are detail-oriented with robust communication skills and comfortable working in a highly visible and highly hands-on problem-solving environment.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years industry experience in product development in consumer electronics with a focus on power and battery verification and validation.
BS or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years industry experience automating hardware tests in Python or equivalent programming language.
Experience leading system and firmware verification with focus on hardware interactions.
Experience leading root cause analysis of hardware and software issues in a dynamic cross-functional environment.
Hands-on experience with lab equipment – power supplies, oscilloscope, DMMs, battery emulators, and data acquisition systems (DAQs).
Description（岗位职责）
Work with the hardware engineering and technology teams to understand product design requirements and own definition of verification requirements and development of test infrastructure.
Develop, maintain and improve system level test infrastructure as well as help grow and develop new functionality.
Work with Battery, Electrical, Firmware, Thermal and Power teams to tune performance at subsystem and system level, including charging algorithms.
Own development of new capabilities and test systems to support new use cases.
Domestic and or international travel 10%.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience with system power, thermal and CPU performance verification.
Experience with system and firmware verification with a focus on battery management systems.
Knowledge of embedded systems architecture and components.
Experience leading validation efforts to enable HW/SW performance optimization.
Experience optimizing end-to-end use-case applications experience in collaborating with cross functional teams.
