Summary（岗位介绍）
The Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) Team has the responsibility for evaluating technologies and identifying supply chain solutions that allow Tech Ops to deliver products to market at scale. Tech Ops is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) for Display and Optical Module engineer. We are looking for an individual willing to work independently to accomplish bold things. Specific hardware development and operations knowledge are required.
As D&O MDE in the Devices organization, you will be responsible for both technically proficient work with the engineering design and Operations teams, for critical parts of display, optics components and module process development and manufacturing at vendors. You will collaborate across multiple projects with display, optic product designers to enable novel AR/VR experiences. You will be the interface between the Tech Ops Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to implement and execute comprehensive process and technical solutions for our products.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS degree or higher in Optical or Display, Mechanical Engineering, chemical, Physics or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in display and/or optical manufacturing.
Experience partnering with multiple cross functional partners
Experience with consumer electronics manufacturing
Description（岗位职责）
Drive manufacturing process innovation in Display, Optic solutions for AR/VR products.
Work with Hardware Engineering, Sourcing, Quality and Tech Ops Team to identify, audit and select the best suppliers’ partner (SPOR) to manufacture our products.
Responsible for display back end manufacturing, include bonding, lamination, optic film lamination, vision active alignment, lens manufacturing, minimizing foreign material contamination, die cut, laser cutting, lens/display coating process development (i.e. coating, IR ink development, optical coating).
Process DFM, process bring up and qualifications
Develop MP intend equipment, process and materials.
Set CTQ criteria to validate key processes.
Run statistical analysis from data collected through trials & investigations
Work with the internal Quality Team to define quality characterization, inspection methodology, and qualification of components before components ship to downstream vendors.
Work with hardware engineering, quality and Reliability Teams to debug optical/display issues related to Display/Optics module development from NPI to ramp. Identify root cause and provide improvements via process optimization and qualifications
Travel to vendor sites to validate and support development
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience with display or optical module assembly processes.
Experience with FEA optical simulation.
Experience using PowerPoint, Keynote & presentation skills.
Experience using UGNX or other CAD programs
Familiar with FMEA or other risk assessment methods.
