We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer for Semiconductor Products supporting Design for Reliability in the areas of ESD, Latch-up, Electromigration. Looking for individuals experienced with establishing design flows and requirements for ESD, Latch-up, Electromigration flow enablement as well responsibility for the execution of the flows to sign off designs. The position would also participate in establishing general reliability methodologies, specifications, and models, and driving execution to meet reliability targets.


  • 7+ years of experience in IC reliability
  • Experience in physical design, design flows and tools as related to DFR
  • Technology experience in leading edge process nodes such as Finfet with experience in broader technology space such a HV-CMOS a plus.
  • Understand ESD requirements, protection schemes, cell design, sign-off flow, and test methods
  • Familiar with EM models, sign off methodology/flow, and impact on product reliability
  • FA techniques for ESD/LU failure.
  • Product Experience with high end processors, SOCs, wireless devices, ASICs, and mixed-mode
  • Provide design for reliability guidance throughout the development process
  • Must be able to demonstrate mastery of reliability statistics and data analysis
  • Must have background in developing reliability modeling based on flexible use models
  • Exceptional background in reliability physics and models
  • Knowledge in reliability failure mechanisms and physical failure analysis

Determine reliability requirements and evaluation methodologies of components to achieve company’s reliability objectives. Would be the lead for establishing design flows and requirements for DFR, including ESD, Latch-up, and EM. Would work with the physical design teams and IP providers on sign off for designs. Responsibilities would include working with suppliers to implement design and evaluation techniques to assure product reliability over usage lifetime. Able to use analytical techniques and quality screens to identify and root-cause potential failure mechanisms. Assist suppliers to solve reliability issues and conduct continuous improvement activities.
