Meta Reality Labs is looking for a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead, mentor, and grow an experienced team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems engineers.
As a Hardware Engineering Manager you will lead multidisciplinary programs to develop innovative sensing technologies and the next generation of custom AR and VR devices and motion capture systems. You will establish requirements with researchers and engineers, develop talent, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. Communication and technical aptitude are critical in this role as you will be the liaison between researchers, mechanical, hardware, electrical, and software engineers and you will assist with determining project priority and feasibility. As an expert in your engineering field you will also provide individual technical contributions by implementing electro/mechanical solutions to the projects under your leadership. This is an intellectually complex and operationally challenging role that will afford the opportunity to lead the development of technologies that have the potential to change the way humans communicate and interact regardless of distance.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years in leadership and people management experience in medium to large scale organizations.
8+ years of experience as a hardware leader working across one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, and software.
Direct experience shipping consumer hardware or working in technology R&D organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated domain knowledge in compute & systems development, proven track record in building advanced technology & product development.
Experience with cameras and 3D sensing technology.
Experience leading and driving design development from schematic capture, PCB layout through assembly.
Description（岗位职责）
Lead and develop the hardware, electrical, and systems engineering craft for an advanced Virtual and Augmented Reality Research lab.
Mentor, grow, and develop leaders and individual contributor engineers.
Represent the hardware engineering craft within the lab, developing and advocating for the right culture, processes, and people necessary to accomplish the labs work.
Coordinate complex projects with key partners (Research, Engineering, Leadership, Operations, Software). Manage team allocation, project meetings, schedules, milestones and delivery.
Accountable for the hardware crafts processes and systems for designing, simulating, prototyping, and testing of virtual and augmented reality capture systems.

Effectively influence leaders and key partners to gain alignment, build virtual teams, and accomplish cross team goals through Meta as an organization.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
8+ years in leadership and people management experience in medium to large scale organizations.
Experience with AR and VR systems.
Experience with motion capture systems.
Experience in working with CM & EMS partners in the design, manufacture, testing and delivery of next generation hardware solutions.
Experience with embedded computing and wearable devices.
Experience with 3D design modeling (NX or Solidworks) and physical prototyping.
Experience with digital circuit design and various communications protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.
