Summary（岗位介绍）
As a Molding Process Engineer on the Meta/Oculus Tooling Team, you will run experiments, assist with tool designs, choose materials, and optimize the molding process for the next generation of AR/VR products. Hands-on experience running injection/compression presses, proficiency setting up and running molding trials, and the theoretical underpinning of a formal education in plastics will prepare you well for this role involving a mix of high-level design and hands-on process development. Engaging with our product design, materials, and sourcing teams will allow you to outline the development work necessary to enable mass production of tight tolerance/high cosmetic consumer electronics products. You must be organized and self-motivated as well as a collaborative team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with some of the best and brightest tooling and molding professionals in the world.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Plastics Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years plastic injection molding process experience.
Thorough understanding of Scientific Molding Principles
Understand and apply de-coupled molding techniques
General knowledge of injection molding machine configuration and operation.
Experience of processing a wide variety of engineering materials.
Experience in Production Process Qualification, Measurement and Analysis
High level knowledge of molding simulation software as it relates to process optimization, process inputs/outputs and troubleshooting defects
Experience in SPC/Statistic Analysis/DOE/Six Sigma tools.
GD&T
Knowledge of tooling design and fabrication and design for manufacturing in terms of geometry and cosmetic quality.
Fluency in English and Mandarin
Description（岗位职责）
Drive implementation and adoption of the Oculus Tooling Team molding standards at our tooling and molding partners
Optimize molding processes for cycle time reduction, yield improvement, and machine utilization
Troubleshooting for molding process issues to support XFN for product development.
Implement lessons learned for molding process control and provide input to Tooling DFM’s before OK2Tool decision
Mentor process engineers at our molding partners to improve the molding process knowledge within our supply base.
Develop, document, and implement molding best practices and processes at our molding partners
Help develop the technology roadmap for molding and tooling by staying on top of the latest molding industry innovations
Drive analytical modeling and analysis of molding data through use of RJG eDart system, pressure sensors and temperature sensors etc.
Collaborate with XFN on material selection, design feasibility, machine compatibility for new products
Excellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation of complex data.
Participate in supplier audits and assessments ahead of supplier selection for new programs.
Travel domestically and internationally to support program development.

Capable of demonstrating implementation of innovative technology in the mass production of consumer products.
Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience in the development of high-volume consumer electronics products.
Experience in managing multiple development programs with domestics and overseas vendors.
