Meta’s Augmented Reality (AR) team is driving the state of the art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our systems will enable AR devices where our real and virtual world will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire system architecture from silicon, through firmware and hardware sub-systems, to system level performance.
As an Optical Design Verification Engineer in Meta’s AR Product Hardware team, you will work with a world-class group of researchers and engineers to own the camera and display system level verification of our products. You will work closely with researchers, architects, and designers in defining our methods of camera and display verification for multiple state-of-the-art systems. You will use your verification skills to define verification requirements, create test cases, design and implement the testing infrastructure, execute the testing and report the results for the new product designs.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Analytical and problem solving experience
3+ years experience in optical systems verification for consumer electronics or equivalent experience
Functional understanding of mechanical, electronic and optical components
Experience with the verification of depth sensing, displays or cameras
Experience working cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams
Bachelors degree in Optical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related discipline or equivalent experience
Description（岗位职责）
Define optical verification methodologies for each of the different systems by working with researchers, architects and the design teams
Perform core function for verification of cameras and displays
Define and track detailed test plans for the different modules and top level systems
Define, architect, design and drive implementation of scalable test infrastructure
Design custom optical test fixtures
Keep track of coverage metrics and bugs encountered and fixed
Own execution, interpretation and reporting of optical system level verification work status and results
Support system bring up and debug activities
Clearly communicate test plans and results
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
In-depth understanding of image processing algorithms and SW/HW implementation through the entire pipeline
Experience with definition, architecture, design, and driving implementation of test automation
Experience with definition of requirements for product verification
C#, Python and LabView development experience
Experience using Nx solid modeling software
Experience in optical modeling and ray tracing
Experience in computer vision metrics and techniques
Masters degree in Optical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related discipline
