No one is going to put on a VR headset or RayBans Stories glasses, or have Portals in their homes, if they don’t trust Meta to ensure this isn’t a harmful experience. The RL Trust team’s job is to improve the Privacy capabilities, Security protections, Integrity defenses, and Equity features for all the products Reality Labs builds so that people feel confident wearing and using them as a regular part of their lives.
I love our work because we get to be extremely forward-looking, working on some of the most futuristic products in the industry. I also love our work because we are able to get ahead of some of the biggest problems posed by these devices before they are widely adopted and (probably most importantly to me), we work on hard ethical tradeoffs with no easy answers about how our products will be used in the real world.
Integrity is a new discipline for our org, which expanded from “Privacy” to “Trust” more broadly in August 2022 (see general + product-specific posts). We’re looking for a founding/lead PM who can determine what a cross-Reality Labs Integrity team should look like: how can we best support other integrity work already happening (or not) across Reality Labs + with Central Integrity; what kind of team do we need to build to achieve this?
2023 will likely look like answering “how can our team contribute to Integrity,” as well as “what are the biggest Meta-Account Integrity issues we should be worried about” – and then shipping some discrete wins later in the year. If we’re successful, we’ll continue to scale the team out in the back half of the year and into 2024.
To help our teams be successful, we’re looking for a PM that has strengths in:
Risk Identification + adversarial thinking. One of our first jobs is understanding what integrity issues we need to focus on most across our Reality Labs products.
1. Cross-company influence. We have a lot of east-west collaboration on this team. Our closest partners will be in Central Integrity and AR/VR/XR/Metaverse/MetaWorks product groups in Reality Labs.
2. Team building. We’re starting from scratch to build this team. We expect the next 3-6 months will look like figuring out what the team should look like, and then 2023 will look like recruiting + developing the team itself.
3. Strategy/policy development. We have a lot of hard questions to answer about what our Integrity defenses should look like in virtual environments.
4. Integrity work. Adversarial thinking, measuring harms, and automated/human defenses are all unique skills for Integrity PMs. As the leader for this team, we want someone with a deep understanding of how this works in social technology contexts.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
10+ years of experience in Product Management
10+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design and user research teams
Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience
Experience presenting to senior executive audiences

Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
Understand Facebook’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals
Identify and initiate opportunities for new projects or focus areas and builds teams necessary to execute
