Summary(岗位介绍)
We’re looking for talented, creative software engineers passionate about advancing the boundaries of input in AR/VR. The ideal candidate has interest in building gameplay systems, user interfaces, and working with novel input and controls in an ambiguous technology space. This position will afford you the opportunity to explore the meaning and implementation of future input devices in spatial computing by working full stack with input devices and technologies.
You will become part of a full-stack hardware, software, and design team exploring new input devices and technologies in AR/VR. You will participate in input explorations and prototyping, partnering closely with designers to rapidly search and explore the space. We want people who work well in teams; can brainstorm big ideas; have great product sense; work in ambiguous technology areas; have an eye for detail, and are comfortable working on a variety of software systems and wearing a lot of hats.
Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Masters degree in Computer Science, Applied Math or a related STEM field
Hands-on experience with computer graphics, rendering, game engines, tooling, or user interface heuristics
1+ year of experience with C# / Unity or equivalent programming language
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description(岗位职责)
Anchor software development efforts for multi-modal input exploration in AR
Develop software for a variety of hardware and software input, including novel sensing systems, and haptic devices, and potentially perform bring-up.
Develop responsive heuristics for novel interaction paradigms
Write clean, readable code
debug complex problems that span systems
prioritize ruthlessly and get things done with a high level of efficiency
Learn constantly, educate others, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solving
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Computer Science, Applied Math or a related STEM field
Experience working in 3D in Unity, Unreal, or a proprietary game engines
Experience working with hand tracking / controller input in AR/VR, including knowledge of Meta’s InteractionSDK
HCI and Design Thinking experience
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
