At Meta, we are developing the future of AR/VR displays. As a device integration lead within Meta, your job will be figuring out how to build the RGB LED-based light sources used in our display modules. You’ll be a critical member of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to our efforts to research, develop, and evaluate new device architectures and integration schemes to meet the requirements of Augmented Reality (AR) systems. You will work closely with internal Meta teams, academic institutions, external partners, and vendors to define both system level and device level requirements and cross-functionally collaborate to execute on the deliverables and technology roadmaps. Ideal team members are adaptable and resilient, eager to approach unfamiliar problems with curiosity and tenacity, and flexible to travel and take on possible assignments at partner locations.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
PhD in Micro-electronics, Physics, Electronic Engineering or Material Science.
5+ years’ experience in III-V semiconductor devices or similar technology.
Expertise in fabrication of optoelectronic devices such as red, green and blue LEDs and lasers.
Strong background in semiconductor physics & materials science
Broad expertise in semiconductor material & device process integration and architecture
Knowledge and understanding of LED fabrication techniques and processes
Effective with high level of ambiguity and can work at many layers of abstraction
Proven ability to work in cross discipline teams and create solutions that optimize across multiple technology layers (i.e. graphics, ASIC, LED, etc).
Description(岗位职责)
Provide end-to-end expertise through the engineering phases of LEDs (wafer/epitaxy, device design, fabrication process) including the architecture and device design, device physics, for red, green and blue LEDs
Invent, design, and develop integration schemes that enable new designs to be realized into uLED array builds that meet product requirements and timelines.
Define and drive cross functional expert project teams enabling new technologies and designs
Define and track key performance indicators (efficiency, yield) to enable new product development.
Work with internal customers to understand the system requirements and translate these requirements into device level specifications
Ability to define and track key milestones throughout new product development cycle
Define and communicate CTQs to the process and integration teams to ensure wafer builds meet product requirements
Ability to design experiments and/or test structures to identify and explore KPIVs
Work with cross functional partners to test and characterize uLED devices to assess performance, yield, and reliability.
Coordinate technology readiness reviews (TRRs) to enable a smooth and efficient transfer of technology to manufacturing process integration and production teams
Report and communicate technology status to program and management
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Proven history of successful research in LED or laser performance optimisation.
Experience with semiconductor based display technology.
Experience with phosphides or arsenide
Demonstrated proficiency in structured technical problem solving
