Meta Reality Labs is seeking a dynamic leader to join us as Lab Manager for Optics and Display Research. Your job will be to support a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and lab technicians. You will marshal our efforts to provide lab spaces, equipment, and resources used to gain a scientific understanding of the work required to create the ultimate AR and VR experience. You will ensure this understanding is widely disseminated through public and internal presentations, top-tier scientific publications, white papers, and patents. This understanding will be further proven out by creating prototypes of next-generation AR and VR hardware and experiences, leveraging the wide-ranging engineering talent within Facebook Reality Labs, a process that will be directly driven by the research team.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Medicine, Optics, Chemistry, Administration or related field
5+ years of experience leading and managing teams of lab personnel, providing technical mentorship, and enabling career growth
5+ years experience managing a fabrication facility with core responsibilities in operations
5+ years of experience working in a cleanroom work environment
Experience with database systems
Experience managing vendor and contractor engagements
Recognition of lab safety as a priority, experience with EHS compliance
Communication experience to facilitate the work of a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of chemical handling & disposal protocols
Experience creating, tracking, and organizing research documentation, experiment results, and research plans
Description（岗位职责）
Plan and manage the operations, equipment and personnel for multiple labs
Manage a growing team of laboratory managers, engineers, specialists, technicians, vendors
Responsible for coordinating cleanroom & lab build-out, equipment installation & upgrade
Define the strategy and plans for directing and communicating lab safety and operations
Define and enforce safety protocols in partnership with our internal EH&S team, ensure compliance with currently established EH&S protocols
Establish workflow management system for work-in-progress optimization
Define and coordinate preventative maintenance across all lab equipment and auxiliary tools
Ensure laboratory process documentation is generated, updated, and reviewed to a high standard
Source and maintain laboratory equipment and machinery and inventories of supplies (substrates, chemicals, consumables, etc.) in partnership with EH&S
Define a plan to maintain and coordinate access to tools across the teams that utilize such tools
Work with the site facilities team to address issues affecting labs
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Medicine, Optics, Chemistry, Administration, or related field Process development and validation skills
Experience working in a hands-on fashion to resolve equipment issues prior to pulling in vendor field service
