At Meta Reality Labs, we aim to achieve photorealistic telepresence at scale. We aspire to connect people separated by distance as if they were in the same room together. We are looking for an exceptional Software Engineering Director with a proven track record in maturing research and engineering efforts. As a Software Engineering Director at Meta Reality Labs, you’ll work closely with leading researchers and engineers to solve challenges at the forefront of computer vision, machine learning, and computer graphics that will transform telepresence from concept to a real service for the billions. You will develop the strategy and technical architecture to build an end-to-end pipeline, including data capture and cloud computing, that results in the ability to instantly generate photorealistic avatars for use in the Metaverse!
Qualifications（岗位要求）
5+ years of people management experience in multi-disciplinary global teams at the intersection of tech and product, including building performing teams and organization
10+ years of software engineering work experience, including 5+ years experience of hands-on technical management
Demonstrated experience in recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management
Leadership and interpersonal communication experience in working across many disciplines, driving best practices, and mentor team members
Experience working with research and engineering team towards concrete deliverables
Understanding of large-scale compute clusters and data processing pipelines
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Description（岗位职责）
Lead lab group pillar providing both technical and strategic vision
Architect end to end technical solution across multiple complex systems for delivering avatars at scale
Define requirements for large-scale compute data pipelines
Partner with technical program management on development and execution of group roadmap
Identify key technical risks and drive resolution
Communicate cross-functionally and group efforts
Build technical relationships with research and engineering teams across the labs
Establish project frameworks and development processes
Communicate and present technical and strategic updates to management
Lead team definition and hiring strategy
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
PhD in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, or audio processing
Experience leading a team to ship version one consumer software products
Experience managing teams productizing Computer Vision, 3D Machine perception or AI/Machine Learning technologies from conception to end
Experience with cloud computing
Experience managing joint hardware-software development
Experience with deep learning
Experience in one or more of the following domains: Computer vision, Computer Graphics, Machine Learning, Robotics, Audio Processing
