Summary（岗位介绍）
The Meta Reality Labs – Display and Optics team focuses on moving the state-of-art display and optical technologies forward for Facebook AR/VR products, which gives people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. The team is responsible for technology development and maturation, component design, novel manufacturing processes and metrology development, and system integration of display and optics for all Meta AR/VR products.
We are looking for an experienced and highly self-motivated Optical Systems Product Development Engineer, who will be driving the optical components and module ramp of next generation AR/VR products.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience or advanced degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
Description（岗位职责）
Change the landscape of capabilities of AR and VR.
Work with cross functional teams (Optics, Display, PD, EE, Hardware Test Engineering, Technical Operations, etc.) to define, develop, simulate, qualify and ramp production of optical systems to meet optical quality, performance, and volume requirements.
Perform process validation, ramp, qualify and monitoring with vendor partners, clean rooms, including CMs and Tier 2 module/component suppliers.
Monitor component and module KPIs and trends both during and after MP ramp. Work with cross functional teams (optics, PD, Technical Operations, etc.) to resolve and proactively prevent issues.
Drive failure analysis (FA) and troubleshooting of components, assembled modules, and system level failures related to those components and modules..
Support optical testing (sampling and 100% inline) and validation in conjunction with vendor and FB test engineering teams at FATP, IQC, OQC and Tier 2 vendors.

Work closely with domestic and international vendors.
Up to 70% domestic and international travel required.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work across teams.
Experience in data/statistical analysis and control for production is required. Six Sigma qualifications, while not required, are desired. Two years experience with statistical software, such as JMP or MATLAB, is required.
Energy and drive to work in a startup environment.
Experience in optical process development, failure analysis, and production ramping is required.
Experience in at least two of the skills listed below is required and familiarity with multiple skills is desired:
Optical testing and metrology
Image quality evaluation
Optical module or lens assembly, packaging, testing and characterization
Imaging optics design and/or manufacturing
Injection molding.
