Oculus Studios and Sanzaru Games are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rigger/Technical Artist to create and implement complex character rigs utilizing proprietary tools in Maya. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of animation, anatomy for motion and scripting.
Interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Experience with Unreal Engine art pipeline.
3+ years of experience in AAA games or major motion pictures.
Experience coding/developing tools in Python/MEL.
Experience using and developing animation pipelines and animation tools.
Experience iterating and implementing quickly without sacrificing quality.
Develop and maintain numerous real time character and prop rigs.
Work closely with character art team to ensure assets are suitable for rigging.
Work closely with animation team to ensure rigs can deliver a broad range of movement while maintaining technical requirements.
Facial rigging for motion capture and procedural animation using proprietary tools.
Write tools and scripts to aid animation team.
Work in Unreal to import character rigs, LOD generation, create physics assets, tune physics for simulation.
Work with motion capture data in Motion Builder.
Motion Builder character setup and rigging.
Experience with Motion Builder
