We are looking for a wide range of expertise within Wireless System Engineering to join the wireless team at Meta Reality Labs. You will be a key member of a team of innovators, working on cutting-edge wireless technologies and aimed at pushing beyond the state of the art for developing wireless technologies that will enable the future of AR/VR.
AR/VR Wireless Team focuses on delivering Meta's vision through Augmented Reality (AR). Compute power requirements of Augmented Reality require custom silicon. Our Wireless team is driving the state-of-the-art forward with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. Our chips will enable AR devices where our real and virtual worlds will mix and match throughout the day. We believe the only way to achieve our goals is to look at the entire stack, from transistor, through architecture, to firmware, and algorithms.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Bachelors or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Understanding of at least one wireless communications system and standard, such as Cellular, Wi-Fi, BT, or UWB
Experience in analyzing logs, troubleshooting issues from field or lab for Wi-Fi/BT, 5G or LTE
System performance analytical, problem-solving, and debugging experiences
Experience leading technical initiatives across a cross-functional organization
Description(岗位职责)
Analyze wireless subsystem requirements (including but not limited to RF, PHY, MAC, protocol, and application level performance) based on product requirements and use cases.
Design and specify the wireless system architecture, algorithm, protocol and procedure fitting the future VR/AR use cases with stringent functional, quality, performance, footprint and power requirements.
Set system performance KPIs for wireless subsystems and drive the wireless architecture (HW/SW) with other cross-functional teams achieving product performance optimization.
Interface and collaborate with wireless chipset vendors to ensure system requirements, such as RF/baseband performance, system control architecture, HW/SW interface architectures and longer term technology roadmaps.
Research new technologies and analyze competition technologies, design new algorithms/protocols and specify solution options to solve complicated problems for future AR/VR products.
Analyze system performance issues and chipset/FW/SW defects, and improve broad system level performance during product cycle.
IP development and closely monitor global standard progress.
Define and execute the strategy in standardization, and industry ecosystem development.
Conduct protocol performance analysis and wireless solutions evaluation for AR/VR products. Define requirements, identify technical gaps, and create novel solutions for existing and future products.
Define and execute validation strategy focusing on protocol, performance and power areas of the products.
Enable test equipment and automation framework for validation of test plans, generation of KPIs of interest and stability metrics.
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience and/or proven track records with leadership role in the standardization, standard development organization(s) and/or their task groups
Experience with managing issues coming from lab/field tests, NVIOT and IODT's, GCF/PTCRB, Operator certification testing, or field testing
5+ years of wireless system engineering experience in physical/MAC layers modeling and design, e.g. physical layer algorithm development, link level systems modeling and MAC protocol dev/simulation system/link level analysis and evaluation
Experience in physical or MAC layer design, modeling, and validation – chipset dev experience and CE product experience
Experience with setting up, handling stability test racks and test campaign
Experience in wireless network system architecture and protocol design, including hands-on industry experience
Experience with broader wireless technologies and standards, including WiGig (11ad, 11ay), Bluetooth, 802.15, and cellular NR/5G, in addition to 802.11
Industry experience with MAC/PHY/RF design/validation and system performance optimization
Broad knowledge/view of network stack (including above L2) and end-to-end network architecture and solutions
Software programming, familiar with scripting and automation, Python, Perl, C/C++, MATLAB
Experience working with Android/iOS devices, embedded systems and software, particularly mobile chipsets
Knowledge of cellular protocol stack, firmware/hardware, RF driver components with solid experience in debugging issues stemming from these areas
Experience on commercial test simulators and test systems, measurement instruments
Understanding of system development and verification testing methods and concepts for wireless devices
Experience in network simulation (e.g. ns3)
