Meta’s Reality Labs is looking for a Technical Artist to join our avatars team. The avatars team creates and maintains the system that power our avatars used across our family of apps, including all of our Metaverse initiatives in VR/AR. As a Technical Artist working on tools and pipelines, you will have the opportunity to work closely with designers, engineers, and other technical artists to help bring characters to life. Characters who are part of our apps that are used by billions of users around the world.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams
Experience with Python and PySide/PyQt
Familiarity with DCC tools such as Maya, Blender or Houdini
Experience with real time asset implementation and optimization techniques
Experience communicating across team members including engineers, artists and production staff
Experience in game development, film or the tech industry operating as a Technical Artist
Experience building tools, plug-ins and designing workflows for content production
Description(岗位职责)
Create and maintain a wide array of existing workflows and tools
Partner closely with art, engineering, user-experience, product management, and other teams to develop content in modern real-time environments
Design, manage and maintain the content pipeline from asset creation through deployment
Quickly innovate and solve issues with cross-functional teams
Ability to collaborate and iterate based on the team's evolving needs
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Knowledge of emerging technologies
Experience developing plugins for industry-standard 3D software
VR/AR experience
Experience with open source projects such as USD
Comprehensive understanding of how to build content for real time performance
Extensive content development experience, including shipped AAA games
Maya experience including the C++ API
