Meta Reality Labs brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and platform. The RL organization includes Oculus and Portal products, augmented and virtual reality software and content, and research and development labs. We plan to release multiple products and technologies over the next few years that will define new categories and advance Meta’s mission of bringing the world closer together.
The Reality Labs Product Marketing team is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager who can influence product roadmaps to put people’s privacy first and then communicate those privacy wins to consumers, privacy advocates, regulators, the media, and others. This is a vital role and you’ll have the opportunity to create lasting impact, something we’ll help you do by nurturing your personal and professional growth.
You’ll find success because you will know how to set a compelling strategic vision, organize cross-functional teams around a plan to execute that vision, and influence leaders around the company. You will drive a research agenda that unearths novel user insights and spread that understanding to partner teams. You’re a true collaborator who thrives in dynamic and ambiguous environments where moving fast and prioritizing for impact are a must. A variety of teams will look to you to create clear and consistent privacy messaging and resources to support our products, and they should be comfortable leading the entire go-to-market launch process.
You’ll also bring a passion for working at the intersection of breakthrough consumer experiences and evolving societal attitudes towards questions of privacy and safety online. You’ll want to create a future where we strike the right balance between these tensions and help demonstrate what responsible innovation looks like.

7+ years experience in product marketing or a related field.
5+ years experience launching hardware and/or software.
Experience leading cross-functional teams, either formally through reporting structure or informally through influence.
Experience partnering closely with product teams to influence product strategy and roadmaps.
Combination of strategic product marketing experience and hands-on tactical execution.
Experience with consumer research and proficiency in using data and insights to inform product strategy.
Develop deep connections with cross-functional partners in Product Management, Marketing, User Research, Sales, Communications, Legal and other teams.
Establish decision making frameworks for Product Management and R&D teams in the prioritization, design and development of new privacy features and experiences.
Create a privacy go-to-market plan for your products that breaks through to demonstrate the ways we’re innovating responsibly.
Synthesize complex concepts and strategy to effectively drive alignment.
Demonstrate ability to resolve misalignment amongst stakeholders.
In collaboration with other teams, create messaging, Q&As, graphics and other marketing collateral to explain how our products use data and the choices they offer to consumers.
Identify long-term opportunities and strategic views of product direction related to privacy, based on market assessment, qualitative research and quantitative analysis.
Build an understanding of the broader AR/VR ecosystem and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to tell our privacy story effectively.
Inspire a research agenda for your products that surfaces novel and useful insights that make our products and marketing better.
Participate actively in our community and embody our PMM values.

Understanding of major consumer privacy protections in different regions and how they impact consumer technology
