Summary（岗位介绍）
The Concept Assembly Team works with the many product and R&D teams at Reality Labs to rapidly build, scale, and maintain prototype hardware. We provide fast and informed learnings on prototypes ranging from a dozen to several hundred, and we then maintain that prototype hardware for internal use. It is important that we provide experience from past builds across all product lines to inform future designs for existing and emerging products and technologies.
As a manager, you will lead and build a diverse team, developing both the technical capabilities and leadership qualities of the technicians and support roles. You will be a key driver in enabling the team to build, iterate, and test hardware prototypes in the virtual and augmented reality space which combine electronics, mechanics, optics and software. Improving both workflow and communication efficiency across our team and between our cross functional partners should be the driving motivation behind all the work you take on.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
2+ years experience managing 4+ technical resources.
2+ years experience in either a production or manufacturing for consumer electronics.
4+ years experience in a technical field involving a prototyping or assembly line environment.
Project management experience.
Experience training, mentoring, and leading other engineers and technicians.
Knowledge and ownership of in-house prototyping processes (machining, 3D printing, molding).
Communication skills and should be clear and concise by default.
Experience using CAD software.
Description（岗位职责）
Mentor and develop lab technicians such that they can run daily operations with minimal supervision, and are enabled to proactively engage with cross functional partners.
Collaborate with our technicians, lab managers, and engineering teams in hardware to optimize the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes and implement scalable solutions.
Create and drive a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and safety. Support and contribute to the development and implementation of business practices and processes which enable the growth and ongoing management of our prototype assembly lab.
Identify and participate in the creation of documentation for the hardware assembly knowledge base.
Predict growth and scaling issues (both resource and people based) before they occur and implement solutions.
Drive specifications for equipment that will enable the team to take on new areas of work aligned with business needs and project roadmaps.
Coordinate with key partners (Research, Electrical/System/Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Leadership, Operations, Facilities, etc.) to support new and ongoing projects.
Manage project meetings, schedules, milestones and delivery.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience using NX CAD software package to improve or redesign parts.
Thorough knowledge of GD&T.
Experience with standard quality control and inspection plans.
Experience executing test scripts and deploying new software builds to prototype electronic devices.
Experience troubleshooting PCBAs and consumer electronic devices.
Experience in design and implementation of microprocessor-controlled circuits (e.g. Arduino).
Experience troubleshooting and modifying circuit boards and small electronic equipment used in consumer electronics.
