The Product Compliance Engineer/Specialist will have a keen eye for regulatory compliance and an excellent understanding of domestic certification requirements. They will have the ability to drive XR goals and regulatory practice across domestic regions. They will be tasked with ensuring that all the Microsoft AR/VR/MR products align with the quality goals and be responsible for getting approvals by the regulators for the respective regions. This person will work with other organizations in Microsoft to align with technology roadmaps and be responsible for collaborating with our development organization to ensure the quality of our products meet the local regulatory standards and requirements. The ideal candidate would be versed in our products and have the technical expertise to focus on regulatory requirements of the region and partner with teams and individuals to drive out gaps and weaknesses in the regulatory environment. Travel and work with the remote team members, and direct engagement with trusted certification partners may be required.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
- First level university degree or equivalent experience required in an engineering discipline, preferably with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
- Superior business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains
- Domain knowledge of Wireless, Cloud, AI/ML, AR, VR, MR technologies, devices and its applications
- Deeper understanding of product compliance requirements and managing the compliance process.
- Excellent knowledge of various IEC/EN/UL product standards notified under different regulations like Safety, EMC/EMI, RoHs, etc. will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in testing and certification of consumer electronics products at test labs, system integration, software, and hardware testing.
- Ability to work efficiently and proactively on multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining a commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization across functional teams.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and agility to learn new skill sets while delivering.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
- Deep knowledge and understanding about Indian regulatory compliance environment, test labs, standards and technical requirements
- Diverse experience and working knowledge of control methods, techniques, and standards related to consumer electronics products, wireless, cloud platforms preferred

Description（岗位职责）
- Drive XR Engineering regulatory compliance and readiness through local certifications
- Understand and integrate all the domestic regulatory compliance requirements and drive them through XR engineering team to ensure support the country regulatory compliance.
- Stay current on the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the organization.
- Create and manage execution plans including activities, timelines, and dependencies. Maintain program reporting and dashboards (status, milestones, etc.)
- Managing complex projects and support project organization, definition, planning, implementation and control.
- Maintaining and support relationships with governing bodies and authorities.
- Participate and influence the regulatory requirements at meetings by government and industry associations on product compliance.
- Keeping pace with the upcoming regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate with various and work with Engineering Groups, Legal, Technical Operations, and Cybersecurity teams to collect materials needed to meet the audit requirements.
- Interact directly with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to explain regulatory compliance requirements.
- Partner, interact, and support internal delivery teams and provide guidance on policies, standards, and procedures.
- Analyze information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements, support reporting on risk topics to management.
- Continuously seek out and implement technology and process improvements designed to simplify and improve the efficiency, agility, effectiveness, transparency, and relevance of the program.
- Perform review of control design for gaps and weaknesses and drive control improvement.
- Proficient and structured problem solving and effectively leading others in root cause corrective action analysis.
