The candidate will develop solutions and design test stations to ensure the quality performance and functional requirements of complex optical subsystems in Microsoft devices; work with the procurement team to evaluate and select contract supplier partners and then optimize test system designs based on fabrication and process capability of the selected partners.
•Define the vision, strategy and execution of next generation optical solutions and platforms for Manufacturing Test while working closely with development and business owners to deploy test solutions across our factory network
•Accountable for key MTI Test System metrics including Test Time, Non-Repeatable Failures, Program Cost, Schedule, Test System Uptime
•Motivate and collaborate across engineering and business disciplines to weigh trade-offs of multiple competing requirements including cost, quality, schedule, and technical necessity
•Define test measurements systems in colorimetry, MEMS optical devices, industry standard optical performance measurements (luminance, uniformity, MTF, contrast, etc.)
•Build validation and verification plans for integrated optical systems
•Interface between core engineering functions, development partners, industry leaders in optical equipment design and fabrication (custom lens design, camera, colorimeter, and spectrometer suppliers, etc.)
