The Scene Understanding team’s charter is to understand the real world and convert this understanding into a programming model that is natural for developers to work with. We are a mix of top engineers, computer graphics, computer vision and deep neural network experts that work together to build the most unique, impactful, and innovative environment sensing technology in the world.

As owner of samples, evangelism and experience you will be developing and enabling our partners by building and prototyping mixed reality experience with tip-of-tree tech, and feeding back findings and experiences back to ensure we are prioritizing developers.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor or greater in computer science or similar engineering degree, or 4+ years of equaling industry experience
  • 3 years+ of unity or equivalent game framework development experience.
  • Graphics, Game Development and/or AR/VR development experience on any platform

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry development experience, functional and unit testing background etc…
  • Strong communication and speaking skills.
  • Computer vision, computational geometry or machine learning experience.
  • Development and knowledge of multiple AR platforms.

Cloud Screen Requirement:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

In this role you will:

  • Update, maintain and build scene understanding samples.
  • Engage with customers and partners, unblock and debug issues.
  • Work with internal partners to unblock their demos and applications.
  • Evangelize and teach partners w.r.t. best practice for developing graphics and interactive applications in mixed reality Scene Understanding.
  • Engage with the core runtime team, and be available to help with integration, e2e validation etc…
