Reality Labs Research (RLR) brings together a world-class, cross-discipline R&D team with the shared goal of developing the next generation of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies. Our research focuses on developing comprehensive solutions to complex tracking problems and user interface technologies for AR and VR systems. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team of industry-leading researchers and engineers, who are all working towards a common goal of defining the future of AR and VR.
The Eye Tracking (ET) team Reality Labs Research (RLR) is looking for a talented researcher to define and advance the road map for an ET applications research program. As an ET-applications Research Scientist, you will work closely with cross-functional research teams at RLR to identify gaps in the eye tracking solutions stack required to accelerate eye-tracking applications research programs. Your work will inform strategy and investment in research partnerships aimed at addressing the identified gaps. You will have an opportunity to drive these engagements through framing of research problems, design of experimental protocols and engagement with the broader academic community through outreach and peer-reviewed research publications.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Ph.D. in the field of Psychology, Human Factors Engineering, Physiological Optics, Bioengineering, Neuroscience, Human Computer Interaction, Vision Science or related field
3+ years of training and/or experience in psychophysical and empirical behavioral measurement and related statistical analysis
3+ years of experience using a variety of eye tracking systems for research and industry applications (SR Research EyeLink or equivalent)
3+ years of experience working in an interdisciplinary research environment and demonstrated experience collaborating across cross-functional research teams
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Description(岗位职责)
Develop research program on the human visual system and its interactions with multisensory cognition
Work with cross-functional teams across Reality Labs Research to coordinate the broad exploration of eye-tracking enhanced applications research
Identify gaps in the eye tracking solutions stack required to accelerate eye-tracking applications research programs
Develop strategy for investment in research programs aimed at addressing the identified gaps
Devise and execute research plans, aligned with team goals, and develop collaborative academic research partnerships to investigate state-of-the-art methods for eye tracking interface to advance AR and VR user experience
Document insights from advances in eye tracking applications research to inform target specifications for eye tracking technology
Aid researchers across Research Labs Research in selecting appropriate eye tracking technology, both internal and external off-the-shelf, for their applications research
Work effectively with a diverse interdisciplinary group of researchers and engineers within and across Reality Labs Research teams
Mentor MS/PhD interns, contribute to peer projects and work closely with external academic groups to advance our research goals
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Demonstrated interdisciplinary research experience via internship, work experience, or peer-reviewed research publications such as PLOS One, Frontiers in Psychology, Behavioral Brain Research, Journal of Experimental Psychology and conferences such as CHI, ETRA and ICVR
Demonstrated coordination experience through leadership roles in work experiences or academic environments
