The Reality Labs (RL) team focuses on delivering Meta's vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We are a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. Our team supports the engineering and operations functions in sourcing the equipment they need to take breakthrough concepts and deliver them to market at scale.
We are excited to offer a new career development program to grow our RL Hardware team. We are seeking sourcing analysts, who are military veterans at all levels to work with a world-class group of researchers, engineers and sourcing managers focused on automated assembly and test equipment for key components, electromechanical subassemblies and fully-integrated devices.
Reporting to a member of the CapEx Strategic Sourcing and Management team, you will support CapEx Sourcing team members in implementing our CapEx Sourcing Strategy across our supply chain for industry-leading VR and AR systems. Military spouses may also apply.
This is a 12-month program with the Reality Labs Team. Once the program concludes, those who have demonstrated their abilities to succeed and make an impact at Meta will be considered for a full-time position.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
Engineering or Technical BS degree or equivalent experience
Experience in strategic sourcing or related disciplines specific to laboratory, manufacturing assembly (including fixtures) and manufacturing test equipment for large-scale operations
Experience managing competitive-bid RFQ processes and ensuring compliance with supplier-onboarding policies
Understanding of supplier spend-analysis methodologies and proficiency in spreadsheet-based analysis (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets)
Proven history of managing supplier evaluations and ensuring compliance with vendor selection, should-cost models, contract negotiations and supply-base management
Understanding of supply chains and factory operations across a variety of industries
Proven history of managing complex workstreams and facilitating cross-functional teamwork, using schedule-management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or similar)
Experience presenting results of spend analyses and articulating sourcing recommendations to technical and nontechnical cross-functional teams using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides
Familiarity with procurement contract structures, terms and negotiating “levers”

Description(岗位职责)
Support the CapEx Strategic Sourcing and Management team in communicating and executing RL’s global CapEx equipment sourcing and management strategy to cross-functional teams
Support partner-selection strategy with cross-functional stakeholders through the management of request-for-quotations (RFQs), ensuring adherence to RL’s sourcing strategy and supporting the final supplier selection
Conduct financial and spend analyses to facilitate the negotiation cost for RL products
Seek out cost-optimization opportunities and participate in cross-functional efforts to achieve them
Perform analyses of historical spend data and suggest savings opportunities
Contribute to the RL CapEx budgeting process and support CapEx budget reviews
Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage our partners’ capability to grow business and identify potential supplier candidates
Work closely with CapEx Sourcing and Legal team members to ensure the proper onboarding of new equipment partners
Develop an understanding of the automation and testing-equipment industries and present research and findings to CapEx and other RL team members
Support and participate in quarterly business reviews (QBR) with strategic RL equipment partners
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience developing best-in-class procurement processes and procurement-compliance policies
Proven history of conducting supplier evaluations, including capabilities assessments and financial analyses using secondary-information sources and onsite visits
Experience communicating with and influencing higher levels of command or management
Proven track record of driving a structured, result-oriented negotiation process and outstanding negotiation results
Knowledge of consumer-electronics manufacturing processes and supply chains
Six Sigma certification
Military Procurement Training and/or experience in sourcing and procurement of complex systems and equipment
