Facebook Reality Labs Research (FRL-R) brings together a diverse and highly interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to create the future of augmented and virtual reality. We are currently seeking researchers with a passion for technology to develop the next generation of digital humans and avatars. The focus of this role includes human shape, motion, and appearance capture, biophysical modeling, simulation and rendering. The position requires a combination of education and experience in computer vision, computer graphics, robotics and machine learning.
Qualifications(岗位要求)
PhD in the field of Computer Graphics, Computer Science, Physics or Machine Learning with a proven academic or industrial track-record
3+ years’ experience in realistic character generation, including deformable geometry tracking, photorealistic lighting, motion capture or physics-based animation
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first-authored publications at leading conferences (e.g., SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ECCV and ICCV, NIPS, ICLR, ICML) or journals (e.g., TOG, PAMI, IJCV, JMLR)
Description(岗位职责)
Plan and execute cutting-edge research to advance the state-of-the-art in digital humans and avatars
Develop new advanced technologies related to the generation of convincing digital humans, like dense 3D surface reconstruction, photorealistic rendering methods, 3D shape deformation models, human biomechanics, motion synthesis and retargeting, markerless motion capture or physics-based simulation (cloth, deformable solids, articulated rigid bodies)
Formulation of new machine learning, analysis, and simulation approaches for digital humans
Collaborate with diverse and interdisciplinary researchers, engineers, and 3D artists to prototype hardware and software solutions, experiments and concepts that advance the entire project
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience with digital double generation for high-end VFX and/or video game applications
Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents or industry achievements
Experience with designing real-time systems in C++, CUDA
Experience with multiview systems, camera calibration, pose estimation, non-rigid ICP, non-linear optimization, neural networks, PyTorch
