The focus of our team is image sensor technology development across all of Meta’s product platforms. We develop platforms that optimize for low-power, miniaturization, dual functionality, and performance along axes unique to Meta’s vision.
As Director of Image Sensors, you will have the very rare opportunity to enable, support, inspire, and lead a diverse team of the world’s leading image sensor experts. You will lead a team of professionals covering the complete CMOS image sensor lifecycle in human perception and machine perception imaging that spans the full spectrum of development from OTS to fully-custom sensors, including invented-here architectures. Your team is responsible for requirements definition, technology development, down-selection, and integration of leading RGB RS sensors, GS + NIR, dTOF, iTOF, and other novel architectures.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
10+ years of experience managing an image sensors team.
Experience leading a team in technology transfer and productization of new inventions and innovations.
Technical knowledge across the image sensor development pipeline, including architecture, design, process, manufacturing, and application.
Subject matter expertise, as demonstrated through shipped products, patents, and publications.
Interpersonal skills with the experience of collaborating well and working across teams.
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field or relevant experience.
Description（岗位职责）
Grow and lead a diverse team of accomplished scientists and engineers through targeted recruiting, career growth and development, and by implementing appropriate organizational structure and processes
Lead the image sensor roadmap development across all RL hardware product lines (VR, AR, Portal, Wearables)
Benchmark sensor KPIs for OTS and custom RGB, Mono & IR, and Depth CMOS sensors and drive the down-selection, validation, and integration of these sensors
Manage the productization of fully-custom image sensor lines
Influence image sensor partners’ sensor roadmap definition and development to meet Meta’s product needs
Lead the exploration, technology development, and integration of sensors incorporating new features like on-chip compute, neural networks, and high-speed interconnects
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Significant experience shipping image sensing solutions in consumer electronics products.
Experience with algorithm/ISP development and ML-based approaches.
Familiarity with hardware and software co-design.
Familiarity with IP strategy.
MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering.
