At Meta Reality Labs, we are building new, innovative hardware that radically redefine the way people work, play, and connect. The TechOps organization is looking for a skilled and motivated Manager, whose mission is to lead the AR DFx team.
We are specifically looking for an individual with experience in high volume manufacturing and has worked in both operations and product development. The ideal candidate will have management experience and worked on consumer electronics.
The candidate must be comfortable working in a large cross functional team environment, providing technical guidance for internal and external partners, advancing manufacturing technology and good practices and leading our contract manufacturer to deliver Meta AR products.
Qualifications（岗位要求）
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years experience in mechanical product design and/or manufacturing.
5+ year experience as a people manager.
Experience in automation, fixture, and equipment design and qualification.
Experience communicating effectively across time zones and multiple teams.
Description（岗位职责）
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges by following DFx best practices and principles.
Evaluate new contract manufacturers and representative TechOps in the equipment, fixture, and automation selection process.
Identify NTI (New Technology Introduction) manufacturing processes and drive execution.
Provide direction, guidance, and support to other engineering groups and CM partners.
Develop new and improved manufacturing methods through application of theoretical and practical engineering.
Synthesize complex data sets into actionable feedback and lessons learned to other programs.
Coordinate all FATP line qualifications activities across multiple products, regions, and suppliers.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Additional Requirements（额外要求）
Experience in Augmented/Virtual Reality product development.
MS Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
Experience in consumer electronics.
Knowledge of optical alignment and qualification procedures.
Optical component and metrology experience.
Experience in electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical interactions (materials, enclosures, displays, thermal solutions, cables/FPCs, connectors).
Six Sigma/DMAIC training.
JMP/Minitab competency.
Clean room experience.
Experience in advanced analysis & problem-solving techniques including DOE, failure analysis, Cpk, GR&R, PFMEA etc.
Experience in production line development techniques including flow chart, cycle time calculation, UPH setup, line layout & balance, SOP, etc.
