The Sensors and Systems Research (SSR) group at Meta Reality Labs Research (formerly Facebook Reality Labs Research) is seeking a full-time Research Scientist to innovate, develop, and productize novel optical imaging and sensing systems. Candidates with extensive experience in advanced optical imagining and sensing system development are encouraged to apply. Qualifications(岗位要求)
PhD degree in Optical Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
7+ years of research experience with design, prototyping, characterization of novel imaging systems and solutions, including bench-top system experimentation and early stage of product integration
7+ years of experience with optical and optoelectronic simulation (TCAD, Zemax, FDTD, RCWA, FRED, ASAP or Code V)
Extensive experience in signal processing, imaging and depth reconstruction, machine leaning
Proven track record of achieving significant research results, as demonstrated by first-authored publications in leading journals or conferences (e.g., OSA, IEEE, and SPIE), grants, fellowships, or patents
Description(岗位职责)
Design, prototype, experiment, and demonstrate advanced optical imaging systems from theories
Design, develop, characterize, and optimize new optical imaging or depth sensing prototypes
Develop new methodologies to evaluate experimental results and correlate with theoretical expectations and simulations
Collaborate with research scientists, optical designers, and engineers across both internal and external research partners
Additional Requirements(额外要求)
Experience in 3D depth sensing, experience with active optical light sources and light source modulators
Experience with metamaterials, liquid crystal physics, or polarization optics
